Final Reflection

As we reflect on our group’s work on the bubble machine, there are many things we would have done differently. We would have initially used a soldering iron to make holes in the frisbee, rather than scissors because it would have saved time. We also would have made the holes further apart around the perimeter of the frisbee. In addition to the frisbee, we would have initially soldered the wires instead of only tying them together. Another area that we would have changed is the water bottle that holds the bubble solution. We struggled with the solution leaking into the boat when we tried pouring it out, so we would have either made a lip on the boat for the solution to drain out easier, or used a funnel. Overall, our group is satisfied with the project. It successfully blows a multiple bubbles and has an attractive appearance. However, the motors drain the battery very quickly and the machine does not continuously produce a stream of bubbles for one minute. Also, some of the bubbles do not detach from the bubble wheel and drool. Despite a few parts on the machine that do not work, we successfully followed the contraints and the problem statement.
